Speakers
Barb Johns
Transition Sales Consultant & Sales Representative
Barb Johns has spent much of her life immersed in the dental industry. As the eldest child in her family, dentistry and dental practice transitions were frequent topics of conversation around the dinner table, and at one point or another, Barb and most of her siblings worked within the industry in various roles.
Barb’s parents, Mary Jane and Barry Howie, founded Tier Three in 1982. Over the following decades, Barb worked with the company on and off as her own family grew. More than a decade ago, she began focusing on Tier Three on a full-time basis, initially working in appraisals and management before becoming a Sales Representative in 2014. Her experience has provided her with extensive exposure to dental practice valuations, sales, and the many personal and practical considerations involved in practice transitions. In addition to her work with Tier Three, Barb’s background includes special project and office management for several smaller niche companies, as well as serving as an editor for several organizations’ newsletters. When Barb is not working with dental practice clients and customers, she enjoys travelling with friends and family. She has also volunteered extensively within her community throughout her life.
